An all-new YZF-R1 for the 2007 model year was announced on 9 October, 2006. Key features include an all-new inline four-cylinder engine; going back to a more conventional 4-valve per cylinder rather than Yamaha's trade mark 5-valve genesis layout. Other new features are the Yamaha Chip Control Intake (YCC-I) electronic variable-length intake funnel system, Yamaha Chip Control Throttle (YCC-T) fly-by-wire throttle system, slipper-type clutch, all-new aluminum Deltabox frame and swingarm, six-piston radial-mount front brake calipers with 310 mm discs, a wider radiator, and M1 styling on the new large ram-air ports in the front fairing. 2008 brought BNG and the ability to buy limited edition Fiat plastics.

Suzuki GSX-R1000

On September 22, 2006, Suzuki revealed a significantly updated GSX-R1000 for 2007 at the Paris motor show. The new bike gained 14 pounds over the 2006 model which is most likely due to its new exhaust system and new emissions regulations. To counter this significant weight increase, Suzuki claims improved aerodynamics. Although not a completely new model, the engine and chassis have been updated. It also features three different engine mapping configurations, selectable via a three-position handlebar switch; standard, sport, and 'wet' (which would likely soften power significantly, and would also be helpful on cold tires). Pricing has been quoted at $11,399 USD

Ducati 999

The Ducati 999 superseded the Ducati 916, Ducati 996 and the Ducati 998 range of superbikes in 2003, and was produced through 2006. This motorcycle enjoyed great success in the Superbike World Championship, and continues to be raced in the series despite no longer being produced, pending rules changes by the series' governing body, FIM, to allow competition of the new Ducati 1098.The 999 was designed by Pierre Terblanche, amid much controversy over its divisive styling; it was heavily criticized by some, whilst being hailed by many. It is known as an extremely high performance, race orientated motorcycle. With its traditional Ducati L Twin Desmodromic Valve actuated engine layout, it has a linear power delivery, with high power figures available even at low RPM figures, and, of course, extremely high torque levels. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is Kawasaki's follow-up to the ZX-9R sport bike. Suzuki B-King

The verdict is still up in the air regarding the futuristic, dynamic looks of the Suzuki B-King. It seems you either hate it or love it. What can be said for sure is the B-King is very fast, enough to match a sports 1000. It’s just a shame it’s restricted to 150mph. The B-King is a lovely road motorcycle, has loads of torque and is easy to ride despite its size. It’s smooth, has good brakes and its only weakness is its soft rear, which results in a lack of traction when pushing really hard.The Suzuki B-King’s engine comes from the new Hayabusa and produces 164bhp with an arm-ripping 94.5 ftlb of torque. Over a standing quarter mile the B-King is just as quick as any sports 1000cc, if not quicker. Shame the engine is limited to 150mph as it has the potentially for much more.
